DR GUGGENHEIMER
Timely treatment in a friendly and compassionate atmosphere
Dr Katharine Guggenheimer is a specialist General surgeon who works in both public and private hospitals, including Moruya & Batemans Bay hospitals locally as well as Mogo day surgery.
She completed her medical training at Melbourne University and graduated as a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, having completed her training in Melbourne.
Dr Guggenheimer currently teaches medical students from Canberra University and is a lecturer in surgery at Sydney University.
She has special areas of interest in endoscopy and colonoscopy (GESA qualified), skin cancer, breast cancer and implant complications, laparoscopic surgery and complex hernia repair. She also has special interest in trauma, having worked extensively in rural and remote areas of Australia.
Dr Guggenheimer is involved in multi disciplinary teams for cancer treatment in both Canberra and Sydney, and in research.
